Following the successful launch of its first series of capacity-building workshops on “Climate Risk Data and Assessment”, VALORADA is pleased to introduce the second series of its Capacity Building Programme. This new set of online interactive workshops will focus on digital governance, adaptation policies, and climate strategies, providing insights into how policymakers and public administrations can leverage data and digital tools to enhance climate resilience and sustainability.

This series will explore the role of digital transformation in addressing climate challenges and driving innovation in governance. Policymakers are key users of climate information and ensuring that data is effectively managed and integrated into decision-making is crucial for regional and local adaptation strategies. However, public administrations often face fragmented systems, diverse data sources, and interoperability challenges. To address these issues, several European regional and local authorities are advocating for a shift towards a stronger data culture in public administration. Through expert presentations, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will gain insights into key topics such as digital governance, local data spaces, and green innovation procurement.

These interactive sessions are open to local and regional policymakers, climate service providers, and stakeholders engaged in digital transformation, governance, and climate adaptation. The workshops provide a unique opportunity to engage with experts, exchange best practices, and enhance strategies for data-driven climate resilience.

Further capacity-building sessions will follow later in 2025, including a third series dedicated to “Risk Communication.” Additionally, implementation workshops will be organized in the five VALORADA demonstrators regions to translate the knowledge gained into practical local actions.
