On November 23rd and 24th, 2023, VALORADA project partners met with local authorities in Central Greece, Chalkida, to identify data requirements, assess climate risks, and build an initial framework for data management systems to support climate risk mitigation.
One year on, we are pleased to celebrate the continuation of our second series of workshops, which testify to the concrete progress made since last year’s sessions.
On October 29, 2024, our second implementation workshop, took place in Central Greece. These workshops focus on fostering awareness and empowering our demonstrators with essential knowledge and skills.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions regarding critical climate issues. The focus was on providing a progress update on the VALORADA project and presenting visualized indicators through the Valorada platform. Additionally, there was a presentation of the potential indicators under investigation for 2025 and an overview of the associated catalogue.
The workshop was organized by Tera Spatium, bringing together a diverse group of 9 participants from the Region of Central Greece, including representatives from the Regional Units of Evia, Lamia, and Fthiotida, as well as the Department of Environment & Spatial Planning. This collaborative environment allowed for fruitful exchanges and the sharing of insights on effective local implementation and data needs.
Following the Central Greece session, the next workshop took place on October 30 in Gabrovo Municipality, Bulgaria!
