Scalability Workshops
The VALORADA Scalability Workshops aim to extend the use of VALORADA’s climate risk indicators and visualisation tools to cities and regions beyond the project consortium. These sessions are designed to support local and regional authorities by sharing knowledge and facilitating adoption of the tools developed within the project.
Each workshop is centred on a specific demonstrator city or region, showcasing how it addressed climate risk challenges—such as urban heat, drought, or wildfire—using VALORADA tools in partnership with a local EO service provider. The focus on real use cases provides actionable insights for neighbouring municipalities facing similar issues.
Held online or in-person and conducted in the local language, the workshops are tailored to engage external regions and cities with comparable climate risk assessment needs. Local VALORADA partners (e.g. TerraNIS, Asitis, TerraSpatium, TAKT, CMCC) will help identify and reach relevant audiences through their networks and promote active participation.
To reinforce local uptake, a national-level intervention or joint event may be considered (e.g., in France or Bulgaria), showcasing political support for the tools. An interactive component (e.g., Q&A or Mentimeter) will encourage engagement and help assess post-workshop interest in piloting the tools.
A brief survey (3-5 questions) post-workshop will be shared with participants to understand any activities related to the tools’ uptake in the participant’s organisation.
