From 13 to 15 May 2025, the third General Assembly of the VALORADA project brought together 22 consortium partners in Prague for three days of focused discussions, collaborative workshops, and strategic planning.

The event opened with a welcome address by Dr. Cristóbal Reveco Umaña, Project Coordinator, who outlined the objectives of the Assembly, reflected on the key messages from the recent European Commission project review, and reaffirmed the project’s long-term ambition: to ensure the availability and use of validated local risk actionable data for climate adaptation.

Day 1 featured an interactive workshop on legacy building, encouraging partners to reflect in groups on how to maximise the long-term impact and usability of the tools, data, and knowledge being developed within the project. The afternoon sessions were dedicated to technically driven exchanges, including:

  • Visualisation tools and dashboard developments (TerraNIS, Terra Spatium, ASITIS)

  • Downscaling guidelines to support local decision-making (Finnish Meteorological Institute)

  • Data catalogues and product strategies (GERICS, ECMWF)

  • Integration into strategic frameworks, including Mission Hubs, the EEA, and the EU-Cloud

Day 2 focused on implementation and demonstrator feedback. Partners delved into local applications of VALORADA tools, with detailed presentations on:

  • Visualisation tool use cases from regional demonstrators (Terra Spatium, RST-TTO, CMCC, AUTH)

  • Testing and deployment of data-manipulation tools (Finnish Meteorological Institute, HCU)

  • Upcoming scalability workshops (EARSC)

  • Communication and dissemination planning, outreach activities and visibility at key conferences (GAC Group)

  • Scientific publication and policy alignment strategies (GERICS, Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon)

The General Assembly concluded with a wrap-up session summarising key decisions, outlining next steps, and opening the floor to discussions on VALORADA’s long-term sustainability.

The VALORADA consortium thanks all partners for their active participation, technical input, and collaborative spirit. The project moves forward with renewed momentum and shared commitment to advancing climate resilience across European regions.
